I got it to try out because it was cheap, now I have them on all my AR's with front sights. The fiber optic is .040", so not real big, but in the sunlight on close targets all I remember seeing is the dot. The front A frame is different from a factory M4(flat op) and that of a standard M16/AR-15 (carry handle). On a flattop the A frame will be marked with a "F" and is approximately 0.040" taller.
